We were privileged to honor Charles A. Davis, CEO of Stone Point Capital and Mark Messier, Six-Time Stanley Cup Champion NHL Hall of Fame Member at this years dinner. It was a night to remember as Kraig Nienhuis dedicated a heartfelt song to our family members and George Whipple riled the crowds with a "first ever" Live Auction that raised significant funds for our beneficiaries. The first J. Patrick "Paddy" Burns award recipient was Harrison Ford, in recognition of his contribution and participation in the premier Public Service Announcement "The Call" . Honorable mentions included Firefighter Regina Wilson's rendition of the National Anthem and their wall of honor which listed 1,964 names of first responders lost in the line of duty.

The Montauk Community joined forces to put together a full day of wonderful activities for the Benefit Fund families. It was smiles galore as the children boarded the Ebb Tide for a fishing trip followed by a BBQ, pool party and live music at the home of the "Montauk Sun" owner.

"Closing Bell" - Daniel J. “Rusty” Staub Founder & Chairman and Stephen Dannhauser President & Chief Executive Officer of the Benefit Fund presided over the NASDAQ Closing bell on behalf of New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. They were proudly joined by NYPD officers, FDNY fire fighters and Benefit Fund families.

Over 1,200 families of first responders, loyal friends, and staunch supporters joined the Benefit Fund in honoring the families of New York’s fallen heroes at the Annual Shea Stadium Picnic. Guests were greeted by, Daniel J. "Rusty" Staub, Benefit Fund Chairman, Stephen Dannhauser, Benefit Fund President & CEO, and the Board of Directors. Other special guests and avid supporters included, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta. A special tribute was made to J. Patrick 'Paddy" Burns Co - Founder of the Benefit Fund who passed away this year.
