The N.Y. Police and Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund mourns the loss of FDNY Firefighter Patrick D. Brady.
We are deeply saddened to share the line of duty death of FDNY Firefighter Patrick D. Brady.
At just 42 years old, Firefighter Brady lost his life while bravely battling a fire in Brooklyn last night. An 11-year veteran of the FDNY, Patrick was known for his dedication, courage, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kara. Patrick came from a long line of firefighters, a family bound by service and love for New York City.
At Answer the Call, we honor Firefighter Brady’s legacy of service and sacrifice by standing with the people he loved most—his family. We will provide his widow with $65,000 in immediate support and will continue to stand by her with an annual stipend for the rest of her life (currently $11,000).
We will forever remember Firefighter Patrick Brady for his bravery, his selflessness, and the love he had for his family, his city, and fellow members of the FDNY.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors and Staff of Answer the Call
