Hear From Our Past Interns:
Allison Caras
2026 Summer Intern
Working as a summer intern for Answer the Call has been such a fulfilling and empowering experience. I saw firsthand the hard work it takes to run such a large and impactful nonprofit, both behind the scenes and face-to-face at events like Game & Family Day. This organization has truly inspired me in more ways than I can express, whether it was working alongside such kind and dedicated professionals or volunteering my time to make sure we Never Forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice while continuing to support the families they left behind.
Sarah Catalano
2026 Summer Intern
Being an intern at Answer the Call has a personal meaning for me because I grew up with firefighters in my family and have always understood the dedication and sacrifice that comes with being a first responder. Working at Answer the Call has allowed me to see that commitment from a different perspective and understand the impact it has on the families of fallen first responders. I feel grateful that I’ve gotten to contribute to an organization that feels close to home and supports other families through difficult times.

2025 Fall Intern
Thank you for welcoming me into your team and providing me a space to learn, grow, and become more confident as a young professional. I am filled with such gratitude for all of the projects I had an opportunity to work on, and the ability to serve the families and community connected with Answer the Call. It was wonderful getting to work alongside each of you in a different way or for a specific project, and I am excited to watch as ATC continues to grow and serve NYC families and first responders.
