Meet our 2025 TCS NYC Marathon Team: Jaden Lander

Jaden Lander is ecstatic to run the New York City Marathon this November with team Answer the Call!

Jaden always ran for fitness, but was never a big fan of it. As he started training for the TCS New York City marathon at the end of May, Jaden now enjoys having a goal and finding purpose in his running endeavors. This is his first time running a race, and he is feeling good—although Jaden joked that there have definitely been runs that made him question his choices. As Jaden’s training has progressed, shin splints have emerged as an unfortunate obstacle. Although the issue has improved, it continues to pose occasional challenges.

Jaden is planning to run the marathon with his best friend since middle school, Pablo Basora, who is also a runner on Team Answer the Call. We are excited to cheer on this duo in November! Aside from a supportive friend, Jaden is motivated on long running days by his playlist, which consists of house, rap, and country music.

In addition to training, Jaden spends time practicing mixed martial arts—jiu jitsu, and Muay Thai. However, all have taken a backseat as running is in the forefront of his priorities. Grateful for the position he’s in, Jaden continues to emphasize the saying, “How you do anything is how you do everything.” This mindset has helped him stay motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude while taking on this demanding challenge.

To the families of fallen first responders, Jaden shares “It’s an honor and privilege to raise money and awareness for them. What I’m doing is remarkably easy for what they have to endure everyday.” We are grateful to have Jaden on Team Answer the Call!
