Mark has always been active, growing up playing lacrosse, basketball, and football. After college, he turned to long-distance running as a way to stay fit and challenge himself after his competitive sports days came to an end.
This year, Mark is preparing for his first marathon. For him, running is driven by discipline more than motivation. The mindset of never quitting, something he learned through sports, keeps him moving forward even during the toughest miles.
Outside of running, Mark enjoys golf, competing in a men’s lacrosse league, and playing tennis.
His go-to post-run meal is chicken parmesan with pasta, and his running soundtrack usually consists of early 2000s rap and hip-hop – often with the same song playing on repeat to help him stay focused.
As he trains, Mark is focused on reaching his goal time while representing a meaningful cause. He hopes to look back with pride on the work he’s put in, challenge himself throughout the process, and enjoy the experience along the way.
