This November, Patrick will run his first New York City Marathon as a member of Team Answer the Call. While he grew up playing sports, including lacrosse in college, long-distance running is a new passion for him. He was inspired to take on the challenge after attending the Boston and New York City Marathons as a spectator last year and seeing the sense of community they create.
Outside of running, Patrick enjoys spending time outdoors. He grew up near the beach and loves fishing, surfing, and making the most of the summer months. He also picked up golf after college and enjoys staying active year-round.
As he prepares for race day, Patrick has been steadily building his mileage and seeking advice from experienced marathon runners. While he isn’t following a strict training schedule, he is focused on staying consistent.
Coming from a first responder family with relatives in the Atlantic City Police Department and the New Jersey State Police, Patrick has seen firsthand the sacrifices first responders make every day. Growing up, conversations around the dinner table often centered on the realities of the job, which gave him a deep appreciation for the dedication the job requires.
Patrick learned about Answer the Call through the New York City Marathon charity partner program. He is proud to support a cause that resonates with him and his family while helping raise awareness for the sacrifices made by first responders and their families.
