On the evening of Sunday, October 8th, the Empire State Building graciously shone in Answer the Call’s colors, red and blue, in memory of all of our fallen first responders and their families.
The Empire State Building lighting serves as a symbol of our collective commitment to honoring and never forgetting those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The lighting also serves as a symbol of Answer the Call’s continued promise to be there for the families these heroes have left behind.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, Answer the Call has been able to distribute over $5.2 million in annual stipends to the families of our fallen heroes this year alone. Since Answer the Call was founded in 1985, the organization has distributed over $170 million and helped more than 1,000 families.
Thank you to the Empire State Building for helping us honor our fallen heroes!
