A St. Patrick’s Day Memory

“My husband was a member of the NYPD Pipe and Drum, he carried the flag in front of the pipe band.  Every St. Patrick’s Day we would race up to 71st and wait for him to pass.  My son would race out and take a picture with his dad.  Stephen had a great love for his Irish heritage and visited Ireland many times as a child with his Grandparents.  Proud of both his country and his heritage.”

— Ann Driscoll, wife of Fallen NYPD Hero Stephen Driscoll

who sacrificed his life in the line of duty on September 11, 2001.

Stephen Driscoll with his son Barry. Barry is currently an NYPD Detective and, like his father, proudly plays the bagpipes.
