Helania attended Answer the Call’s 38th Annual Gala in 2023 and was deeply moved by the stories of individuals who lost loved ones in the line of duty. Since then, she has been eager to show her support for the first responders of New York City!
While she has no personal connection to the FDNY or NYPD, Helaina is proud to be running on Team Answer the Call and knows that this wonderful mission will give her motivation during some of her long training sessions. Helaina will be completing the upcoming marathon with her fiancé, with whom she loves spending time outdoors with at their home on Long Island.
